Re: Living next to Ffos-y-Fran Opencast Mine - A Residents day in Hell
by Torquay Taffy
As a former resident of Merthyr, I am absolutely appalled at what is happening to the beautiful Welsh countryside and all because the council and Welsh Assembley are money hungry. What I can't understand is where are the feisty Merthyr population. Why are they sitting down and letting these monsters trample all over them? Aren't they concerned about what is going to be left for their children? I always believed that Merthyr people stand together and fight for what they believe in. I thought it was all about community spirit in the valleys. That seems to have fallen by the wayside and the English are robbing our pressure land. Come on people of Merthyr - it's time to keep a welcome in the hillside and push the monsters back into pits that they escaped from. From Torquay Taffy.
